The Atmospheric Research Laboratory is a team of research scientists
who conduct observational and modeling studies of the radiative and
climatic properties of the atmosphere, clouds, aerosols, and the ocean.
ARL uses a suite of sophisticated in-house developed solar and infrared
radiometers to acquire and analyze airborne and ground-based radiometric
measurements. With the anticipated 2004 launch of the DSCOVR satellite
ARL will begin to collect radiometric data from a space platform.
